For the past three days the Internet connection at the shed has been slow. Slower than dial-up. The plan as I understand is a 512/128kbps connection, but it is running at 3.2kbps - 6kbps average.This results in a simple web page taking upwards of 30 seconds to load, if at all. We'll see how things go, but updates may take a little longer from now on, as it can be very frustrating waiting for images to upload, or blog editing pages to load. It's no fun sitting at a computer for minutes at a time waiting for edits to happen.
G, could you check with Bordernet please, just to see if it may be a problem on their end. I've done some comparison checks and the problem seems to be with their servers.
Our family's adventures as we take care of a shed in the bush, two playful donkeys by the names of Bonnie and Jack, and a fat black cat called Sabrina.
About Us
We're a pair of stressed-out, frustrated wannabe hippies with a love for nature, the bush and photography. Along with our kids and our dog Jack, we presently have the opportunity to house-sit a nice little green shed on 40 acres, somewhere out the back of Kingaroy. We're also babysitting two friendly donkeys named Bonnie and Jack (that could get confusing), and a fat black cat named Sabrina. Oh, and then there's the 4 foot plasma TV with cable, the gym, a tool shed to die for, and lots of other tasty boy-toys like a quad and a beach buggy (sometimes also useful to the girls).
It's a hard job, but somebody's got to do it. Might as well be us.

I just read this now and wanted to say that I can relate.
But, seriously, until you wrote that this sort of thing happens to you both from time to time, I believed I was the only person EVER to ge things wrong.
I have wireless broadbank at the moment and it is always dropping out and frequently. I guess I just thought that was the way it.
